Rania is upset because her mother does not look young like her friends’ mothers. This occupies her mind so much that she can neither sleep nor eat. When Rania discloses her thoughts to her mother, the latter explains that looks or age are not important; it is her love for her that is. Rania then remembers her friends’ complaints about serious flaws in their mothers, and realizes that her mother is the best. The story teaches children that it is the love people have for others that matters not looks.
